Is AppNana a Scam

AppNana is a new app for Android and iOS that claims to offer users a free way to earn points, or nanas, which can be traded for paid apps, or gift cards. Is AppNana a scam, or is it a truly legitimate way to earn free gift cards and paid apps?

What is AppNana?

AppNana is a free mobile app that can be downloaded on Android or Apple devices.  In a nutshell, the app allows you to earn nanas (points) by downloading and installing applications on your mobile device.  Most of these require that you play the game or use the app for a certain amount of time in order to earn your nanas.

What can I use the nanas for?

Nanas can be traded for a host of things. The most commonly claimed reward is paid apps. You can exchange your nanas to get paid apps for free.  The most popular games, like Angry Birds, can be yours in exchange for a few nanas.

If apps or games do not interest you, you can also trade in the nanas for gift cards from:

  • Amazon
  • iTunes
  • Google Play

Referral Program

If you have a popular twitter feed, Facebook account or YouTube channel, you can use it to increase your income by taking advantage of AppNana’s Referral Program. Users are given an invite code and can earn money each time that code is used by a new AppNana user. According to the app’s website, some of the most popular affiliates can earn $300 per day or more using this referral program.

Program Cons

For the most part, the reviews for AppNana are positive.  There have, however, been more than a few complaints. The most common complaint from AppNana users is that once they have signed up, they start receiving a large amount of spam emails.  There is no official statement from the app on whether or not their servers sell their customers email information.  There have also been reports of people having problems with viruses after downloading AppNana, but this is only a problem if the app is not downloaded from a legitimate source.

Is AppNana a Scam?

In a word, no, AppNana is not a scam. It is a legitimate way to turn the time you spend on your mobile device into something profitable.  While you’re not going to get rich using AppNana, it is a great way to earn gift cards to spend on yourself.  A $10 Google Play or iTunes gift card can be used to buy books, music, movies, or more games.

When you download the AppNana application to your mobile device, you are guaranteed to find new applications to enjoy.  If you get some free apps or gift cards out of the deal, so much the better. You can also turn your points into cash!
